Meyer Wins Opening Night with Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints

Steve Meyer and Justin Henderson traded the lead multiple times as they battled around the high banked Beaver Dam Raceway. When the checkered flag fell it was Meyer victorious over Henderson and Jake Blackhurst.

Heat 2 would see the Thone Motorsports entry piloted by Justin Henderson pick up the win over defending champion Bill Balog. Scotty Neitzel and Mike Reinkie would finish in 4th and 5th respectively. Russel Borland driving for the new Wiese Motorsports would round out the top 5.

With Meyer out front Justin Henderson worked his way into the 2nd position and began to real Meyer in. Henderson would eventually work his #83 around the #85M of Meyer but it would not last long as Steve Meyer battled back and took not only the lead but the win. Henderson would settle for 2nd.
